David has worked in the Asset Finance industry for over 25 years building a wealth of business, sales and management experience.
David founded First Business Group in 2008/9 and has overseen the development and growth of both the asset finance brokerage First Business Finance and the own funding portfolio company First Business Securities Ltd.
SHANNON RODRIGUES
PA to Managing Director and Office Manager
Shannon has worked in the Banking, Business and Finance industry for over 30 years, gaining a vast knowledge management and business experience.
Shannon has both the role of PA to the Managing Director David Jordan and Office Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the company, combining sales and administration.
Shannon says organising David’s personal life is her biggest challenge!

Aston is a very popular member of the First Business team. He has a great knowledge of all aspects of commercial finance and a reputation built on hard work. His attention to detail in his organisation and his personal approach to business, really endears him to his colleagues, clients & suppliers.
Aston was previously a Master Technician for Nissan so has brought a real understanding to the garage equipment finance sector, while also operating in all types of Plant / Construction, machinery, vehicle, and technology Finance. Aston brings the same open-minded and determined approach to any finance opportunity he comes across.
CARRIE HOBDAY
Sales Executive
With over 17 years of sales experience , Carrie joined First Business Group in 2016, initially working in customer services and recently joining the sales team.
Carrie has already proved to be a great asset to the business with her detailed & friendly approach to setting up new Vendor accounts.
Carrie is generally the party animal in the office, organising the company nights out with real zeal !
JO DYER
Group Financial Controller
Jo has been with First Business from its infancy managing the business on a daily basis.
Jo has had a number of jobs including working in the professional’s shop at a Golf Club, caddying, serving in a chip shop, then in pensions and insurance before finding his way into finance where he’s worked for 25 years.
COURTNEY MILLER
Office Administrator
Courtney joined the team in 2017 to assist with the ongoing growth of FBF & as an Administrative assistant.
Courtney supports her colleagues with general running of the office, helping tackle any queries & being a point of contact for customers and suppliers alike.
Courtney enjoys online shopping and fills the office up with parcels on a daily basis !
KARA SIMMONDS
Office Administrator
Kara has worked with David & Martin for over 20 years in the industry so brought a wealth of experience to First Business Finance nearly 5 years ago.
Kara knows the industry inside out and works primarily in administration support but can assist with any customer service queries.
Kara loves coffee ( and I mean LOVES coffee! ) , eating, drinking and dancing badly.
